Antique Syrian damascened vase in brass, copper and silver – Damascus, early 20th century

An antique Syrian vase, made using the traditional damascening technique, typical of Damascus workshops in the early 20th century. This decorative metalwork involves inlaying fine silver and copper wires into a brass base, creating a richly ornamental contrast.

The vase has a slender , quadrangular shape, topped with a slightly flared circular neck. Its four sides are richly decorated with stylized Arabic calligraphic motifs , vegetal arabesques, and interlacing patterns, typical of Syrian Islamic art. The finely engraved and inlaid decorations demonstrate remarkable craftsmanship.

An authentic decorative piece, ideal for a collection of Islamic art , oriental objects or as a decorative element in an eclectic or classic interior.
