Superb blown glass vase made by master glassmaker Robert Pierini in Biot, dated 1986 and signed under the base. This unique piece is distinguished by its slightly flattened organic shape, its petrol blue hue with iridescent reflections, and its decoration created using the overlay glass technique, with inlays of colored glass and filaments applied while hot.
The surface evokes an abstract and poetic landscape, in a contemporary style influenced by Mediterranean glass aesthetics. The opening of the neck, enlivened by a coiled black glass element, reinforces the sculptural character of the work.
