The vase has an ovoid shape resting on a circular base, a delicately crafted, narrow neck, and rich, multicolored abstract decoration with metallic reflections. The interplay of texture and light, characteristic of Pierini's work, reveals a true mastery of blown glass and the effects of oxidation.

The organic patterns, punctuated with shades of turquoise, violet, gold and copper, fit perfectly within the aesthetic of Biot's artistic glass from the 1980s. A decorative handle applied while hot emphasizes the sculptural character of the piece.
The vase is signed and dated at the base “R. Pierini 1985” .
