A superb vintage cylindrical vase in glazed stoneware, created by Michel Perfetti in the 1980s. This piece features a clean silhouette enhanced by a glaze in deep shades of blue, black, and reddish-brown, applied in generous drips that evoke the ceramist's Art Nouveau inspiration. The visual effect is organic, almost mineral, with a strong contrast between the textural effects of the glossy glaze and the raw, chamotte stoneware base.
Michel Perfetti has been working with stoneware since 1976 in his workshop in Les Abriols, Larroque, in the Tarn region. His work is marked by a great sensitivity to textures, rich glazes and simple forms, often influenced by Asian ceramics and the naturalistic aesthetic of the Art Nouveau movement.
