Raku stoneware bottle vase made in 1995 by Canadian ceramist Gilles Belley , in Quebec.
This piece features a slender and balanced shape, as well as a raku glaze with rich shades of deep green, punctuated by dark variations and material effects characteristic of the raku technique.
The surface has a beautiful crackled and nuanced appearance, with vertical drips and areas of oxidation, giving the piece an organic and expressive presence. The vase is signed "Belley 95" on the base.
