Art Deco spherical vase by Pierre de Cagny, pressed molded amber glass – 1930s

Ball vase in pressed molded glass, by Pierre de Cagny , made in France in the 1930s, at the heart of the Art Deco period.
This model features a generous spherical shape, enhanced by a geometric relief decoration composed of large stylized motifs, typical of the modernist aesthetic of the interwar period.

The glass has a beautiful, nuanced amber hue, with a satin-matte finish characteristic of French pressed glass from this period. The light highlights the sculpted forms and interplay of transparency, giving the piece a striking decorative presence, whether displayed alone or as part of a composition.

The base is signed “Pierre de Cagny”, a signature partially erased over time , but still perceptible.
