Baluster vase by Fabienne Jouvin in black and silver glazed porcelain - Late 20th century

Deep black glazed porcelain baluster vase, enhanced with a stylized silver floral decoration, creation of Fabienne Jouvin , French designer graduated from the École supérieure des arts appliqués Duperré in 1985, living and working between Paris and the Drôme Provençale.

The vase features a harmonious baluster silhouette, enlivened by a vertical decoration of fine silver lines evoking a graphic flow, upon which silver flowers and foliage unfold in low relief. The overall effect creates a striking contrast between the depth of the black enamel and the metallic sheen, giving the piece a beautiful decorative presence.

The decorative work is rooted in Fabienne Jouvin's distinctive style, informed by her travels and sketchbooks, blending architectural, naturalist, and contemporary abstract influences. Her work has been exhibited since 1989 by the Tokyo Fashion Foundation and the En Attendant les Barbares gallery in Paris. From 1996 onwards, her collaboration with Asiatides has allowed her to develop pieces in porcelain, glass, and cloisonné, produced primarily in Asia, while maintaining a distinctly French artistic direction.

This vase can be displayed alone as a decorative collector's item , or used as an ornamental vase , fitting equally well into a contemporary interior or a more oriental atmosphere.

Very good overall condition. The enamel is well preserved. The silver decoration shows slight variations and a natural patina.
