Very good overall condition for a period piece. Slight wear consistent with age on the edges and gilded areas, some minor irregularities in the original enamel. No visible cracks or restorations.

Art Nouveau stoneware vase from the Sarreguemines pottery factory, made around 1900 and attributed to Jules Fournier (1852-1908), decorative artist at the factory and head of "department 6". A student of Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Fournier developed a very personal style: slender lines, stylized plant decoration, deep colors and expressive volumes.

The vase features a relief decoration typical of Art Nouveau: large stylized white flowers, ascending arabesques, and a wine-red glaze contrasted by ivory and golden ochre enamels. The four twisted handles accentuate the generous curve of the body, while the ochre interior highlights the sculpted details. Stamped SARREGUEMINES and marked with an "R" under the base.
