Very good overall condition, some typical manufacturing irregularities in enameling and slight chips on the neck and base (see photos).

Soliflore vase in polychrome glazed stoneware , made by the Boué & Petit workshops in Montigny-sur-Loing around 1900 , in the tradition of Impressionist stoneware and French Art Nouveau .
The piece has a slender shape with a long neck and a flowing enamel nuanced with brown, olive green and beige , typical of the material and color research carried out in Montigny at the end of the 19th century.
The vase is signed under the base "BP" accompanied by the rooster and the mention Montigny-sur-Loing , the mark of this workshop which was active between 1898 and 1922.

Founded in 1898 by Albert Boué (1862–1918) and Charles-Alphonse Petit (1862–1927) , the Boué & Petit workshop perpetuates the ceramic tradition of Montigny following in the footsteps of Georges Delvaux , their friend and former master.
Albert Boué, a talented painter and decorator trained by Schopin and Boulenger in Choisy-le-Roi , excels in floral and naturalistic representation.
Charles Petit, a potter and modeler, also trained at Schopin, became the workshop's chief technician. Together, they produced artistic stoneware and slipware with fluid glazes and organic forms, decorated by artists such as Charles Virion .
After Boué's death, Petit continued production alone until 1922, when Jean Renoir bought the workshop on behalf of the ceramist Louis Baude .
