A superb stoneware vase from Puisaye, a work of the Poterie des Ligers pottery founded by Jean-Marie Maure and Albert Lebret (1871-1955), dating from the 1920s. This Art Nouveau style vase is distinguished by its organic shape and four small lateral spouts reminiscent of stylized fish heads, in a fluid aesthetic characteristic of the movement. The flamed glaze in shades of blue, pinkish beige, and brown creates an effect of natural drips evoking water or liquid elements, typical of the decorative techniques employed in Puisaye ceramics.
A rare piece, both sculptural and decorative, bearing the engraved signature "Moor" under the base.
