Art Deco vase "Les Alvéoles" by Marius Sabino, molded opalescent glass - 1930s

Art Deco vase “ Les Alvéoles ” signed by Marius Sabino , in satin-finished opalescent white glass with polished edges , made around 1928 .
This model, listed under number 7028 in the 1930 Sabino catalogue , features a pear-shaped line with five recessed sides .
Each face is decorated with the design that gives the vase its name: a central alveolus radiating into petals, extending into successive ovals that harmoniously echo each other to the edges.
It rests on a circular base and ends with a recessed neck .

The engraved signature “Sabino Paris” appears under the base. This model was never reissued , the mold having been destroyed after 1945 , making it a rare piece by Marius Sabino (1878-1961), a major figure in French Art Deco glass.
