René Roussel (1885–1962) was a French painter and illustrator trained by Jean-Léon Gérôme. Active particularly in the 1930s, he distinguished himself in genre scenes, landscapes, and posters. He participated in the 1924 Olympic Games in the arts category and was also curator of the Issoudun museum.
