Decorative enamel-on-copper dish made by the artist Elizabeth Madley (1917–2008) , dating from the 1960s . This piece features an organic composition with green, brown and coppery gold hues , reminiscent of the texture of natural stones and the fusion of metals.

Madley, born in Southern California, studied drawing and painting at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles between 1940 and 1945, before turning to artistic enamel in the late 1940s. Her work was quickly noticed: as early as 1951, she received several awards in American decorative arts exhibitions and exhibited notably at the Long Beach Museum of Art (1955) and the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York (1959).
His creations are distinguished by their abstract forms inspired by nature – leaves, fish or insects – and by their contrasting effects between cloudy areas and vitrified reliefs , achieved by layering powders and fragments of molten glass.

This visually striking dish perfectly illustrates its modernist aesthetic and craftsmanship. Ideal as a wall piece or sculptural centerpiece.
