A superb glazed ceramic bowl dating from the 1970s, featuring an elegant "oxblood" or flamed decoration. This piece is distinguished by its deep shades of ruby red and bluish-purple, with a light gray subtly nuanced center, creating a captivating and vibrant textural effect. The thick, glossy glaze testifies to remarkable technical mastery and recalls the exploration of oriental glazes revisited by 20th-century European ceramists.
This flared bowl rests on an unglazed circular foot, revealing the light brown chamotte clay. It is signed on the reverse with a monogram stamped into the clay, probably the work of a French ceramist active in the 1970s.
Ideal as a collector's item, centerpiece or for interior decoration blending modernism and fine craftsmanship.
