Large Art Nouveau iridescent green vase with eosin glaze – Zsolnay Pécs factory, 1900s

A magnificent ceramic vase from the Zsolnay factory in Pécs, Hungary, made around 1900 during the flourishing Art Nouveau period. This elongated vase with a flared neck features a superb eosin glaze in shades of green, turquoise, and gold, with the shimmering reflections typical of late 19th-century Zsolnay pieces. Its elegant shape and the metallic sheen of the decoration make it a remarkable decorative piece.

The base is stamped "Zsolnay Pécs" with the inscription "Made in Hungary".

The whole piece has a beautiful patina with wear consistent with its age.

• Several scratches are visible on the body of the vase (see photos).

• The neck has more pronounced defects: a star-shaped crack visible on one side, as well as an old chip that has been restored or filled, making the lip slightly irregular (see close-ups).
  Despite these flaws, the vase remains stable, aesthetically pleasing and perfectly suitable for display.
