An elegant small decorative bowl dating from the 19th century, composed of a translucent white alabaster basin mounted on a chased silver rim. The alabaster, of a uniform milky white, is enhanced by a mount finely decorated with hand-engraved classical motifs.

This exquisite bowl was likely intended for decorative use or as a refined trinket dish on a desk or dressing table. The quality of the silver mount is remarkable, with delicate ornamentation of stylized scrolls, volutes, and shells. No hallmarks are visible, but the workmanship is typical of 19th-century European production.
