Art Nouveau chocolate pot by Christian Neureuther for Wächtersbach – circa 1900

Magnificent glazed ceramic chocolate pot, typical of the German Jugendstil, designed by Christian Neureuther for the Wächtersbach factory around 1900. Its slender cubist shape is enhanced by a stylized plant decoration in deep red on a petrol blue background, highlighted by a delicate network of crackles in the glaze.

It comes with its original silver-plated metal lid with an integrated perforated filter screen , designed to retain melted chocolate shavings or infusion residue. This ingenious lid, topped with a turned knob, combines refinement and practicality.

State :
Good overall condition with signs of wear. Three chips are visible: one on the spout and two on the lower corners of the base (see photos). There are natural cracks in the enamel due to the firing process. The silver-plated metal lid with filter is complete, patinated but functional.
