Victorian silver-plated coffee or chocolate pot, made by James Dixon & Sons , Sheffield, circa 1880 .
This model features a handle made of natural stag antler , typical of the Victorian period's taste for noble and organic materials, and an engraved decoration of bamboo, foliage and butterflies , of Japanese inspiration, in the spirit of the Aesthetic movement .

The hinged lid is adorned with a fleur-de-lis button , and the interior is well preserved. A beautiful collector's item, representative of late 19th-century British refinement.
