A sculptural bronze brooch signed Bernard Chaudron , created in the 1970s. This piece features an openwork circular form composed of organic motifs evoking branches, flames, or stylized coral. A formal language typical of French artist-designed jewelry from the second half of the 20th century.
The bronze work, both dense and finely cut, reveals a sculptural approach to jewelry, conceived as a wearable art object. The modernist, almost architectural aesthetic gives the brooch a striking visual presence.
About Bernard Chaudron
Born in 1931 in Lille, France, Bernard Chaudron is a jeweller and sculptor whose atypical career began in the agricultural sector before a shift to art. He trained in lost-wax casting in Montreal, a technique he adopted as his preferred means of expression.
He then opened his own workshop in Val-David, where he developed a rich and varied production: sculptures, medals, murals, decorative objects and jewelry, mainly in bronze and tin.
Her works are now featured in museums and numerous private collections, and her jewelry has been distributed internationally, in North America, Europe, and Asia. Her work is fully aligned with the movement of artist-designed jewelry, at the crossroads of contemporary sculpture and decorative art.
The artist's signature "B. Chaudron" is engraved on the reverse of the brooch.
