Vintage Rhodoïd (cellulose acetate) diamond-shaped brooch in red, black and white tones, typical of Léa Stein Paris creations in the 1960s.
Although unsigned , this piece represents the avant-garde work of the designer, a pioneer of laminated plastic jewelry, between modern forms and graphic motifs.

Born in 1931, Léa Stein is recognized as one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century in the field of acetate jewelry. Alongside her husband Fernand Steinberger , she developed in the 1960s a unique technique consisting of layering layers of Rhodoid, sometimes enriched with fabrics or colored patterns, compressed and then cut into stylized shapes.

An elegant piece, ideal to wear over a black jacket, a plain sweater or to complement a collection of acetate jewelry.
