Sculptural silver bracelet by Alexis Lahellec, artist's jewelry - 1980s

Vintage bracelet from the 1980s by Alexis Lahellec , a French designer known for his experimental approach to jewelry and design. Before becoming one of the leading names in costume jewelry at the end of the 20th century, Lahellec began his career in fashion and interior design in the 1960s.

In the 1980s and 90s, he developed several jewelry collections. He collaborated with several designers, notably the jeweler Yaron , to whom he dedicated his first collection in 1983, as well as with the artist and designer Nicolas De Waël . These collaborations fostered a unique aesthetic language: generous volumes, organic forms, and innovative materials.

Some of his iconic creations include the "Cookware" collection (1985) in chromed plastic, as well as a series of jewelry in hammered gold resin (from 1986), and colorful hand-painted pieces reminiscent of Niki de Saint Phalle's world. Today, he no longer designs jewelry and devotes himself to interior design, furniture, and decorative objects. His jewelry pieces are now considered true wearable works of art, sought after in galleries and at auctions.

This bracelet perfectly embodies its brutalist and sculptural aesthetic: a ring punctuated by raised discs, with a tactile and architectural presence. A unique and expressive piece.
