A charming box in patinated antique green bronze, signed by Max Le Verrier , the renowned French sculptor and founder of the Art Deco period. This rare piece features a bas-relief depicting an ancient hunting or war scene, inspired by Assyrian or Mesopotamian iconography, with a chariot drawn by horses and lions.
Adorned with stylized plant motifs on the sides, it rests on four small spherical feet. The interior is lined with its original green felt. The signature " M. Le Verrier " and the word " BRONZE " are engraved under the lid. It also bears the " Made in France " mark.
A collector's item, perfect as a jewelry box, catch-all tray, or decorative piece on a desk or console.
