About Jacques Pouchain (1925-2015):
Jacques Pouchain left Paris and abandoned his architectural studies in the 1950s to move to Southern France, dedicating himself to art and pottery at his Dieulefit workshop.
He produced both highly personal works and more commercial pieces, all reflecting his modern approach to pottery.
Pouchain became particularly known for his minimalist and functional style, drawing inspiration from simple geometric forms and industrial materials. His work earned him several accolades, including the Paris Design Award in 1988. His ceramics have gained international recognition and have been featured in major auction houses worldwide.
