This exquisite Art Nouveau vase features an elegant winged nymph as the handle, a fleur-de-lis motif on the base, and a ribboned bouquet of flowers adorning the body of the vase.
About the Artist:
Born Antoine Joseph Van Den Kerckhove, known as Antoine Nelson, he was a Belgian sculptor born in Brussels in 1849 and passed away in Paris in 1910. Coming from a family of sculptors, he was the son and student of Auguste Van Den Kerckhove. Active from 1880, he lived in London before settling in Paris from 1890 to 1910. Nelson is best known for his Art Nouveau female busts but also created decorative vases, sculptures, and monuments.
