A superb orange-red glazed ceramic vase by Fernand Elchinger, made in the 1930s in the family workshop in Soufflenheim, a center of Alsatian ceramic tradition. Its rounded, refined shape and bright, finely speckled glaze embody the regional Art Deco aesthetic.
The base of the vase is marked in hollow “ART CERAMICS - ELCHINGER FILS - SOUFFLENHEIM ALSACE” . It also has the model number 72 / 1 .
