Geo Michel (1883 - 1985, by his name Michael Georges Dreyfus painter, ceramist, journalist, novelist and translator


Drawing on the teachings of his teachers (Friez and Dufy), he painted several portraits of the painters he frequented, including a portrait of Picasso in 1954.

His works are represented in numerous museums (including the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, San Francisco). His paintings achieve record prices (sometimes more than €50,000).



From 1935 to 1940, he was the editor of the magazine Le Cri de Paris. Le Cri de Paris was a political and satirical weekly founded in 1897 by Alexandre Natanson.
